Container Houses in the Mining Area of Congo, Africa

In the extreme environment of Congo's mining areas, characterized by high temperatures, dust, and frequent power outages, UVO provided a mining client with an efficient, modular camp solution: sixteen folding container dormitories + four 20ft expandable container houses, comprehensively addressing the construction challenges of worker accommodation, project command, and management facilities. From transportation and construction to power supply and commissioning, the project took only 15 days, far surpassing traditional sheds or temporary structures, achieving the goals of "rapid deployment, ready-to-use, low energy consumption, and high efficiency."

Folding Container Houses: Efficiently Deploying Dormitory Complexes for Thousands of People

African project sites are large, densely populated, and under tight construction schedules. Traditional dormitories are time-consuming to build and expensive to transport. UVO's folding container homes perfectly meet the needs of this scenario:

Easy to transport:

When folded, they only shrink to one-third of their original volume, significantly reducing transportation costs. Multiple units can be transported on a single vehicle.

Quick installation:

Unfold upon arrival and ready for use within 24 hours.

Comfortable living:

Each foldable room accommodates six people, with a ceiling height of 2.4 meters, making it comfortable and suitable for long-term stays.

Weather-resistant and durable:

Built-in fireproof panels and insect-repellent coatings effectively withstand high temperatures and rainy season humidity, ensuring a dry and clean interior.

Standardized dormitory planning:

16 folding containers can easily accommodate up to 1,000 people.

This system frees customers from the stress of "camp construction" and allows them to focus fully on mining operations.

Expandable Container Houses: Integrated Solution for Manager's Quarters and Command Center

In addition to worker accommodation, UVO also provided four 20ft expandable container houses for the project, each encompassing 37 square meters when expanded. These houses are used for accommodation of mine management and project coordination.

Multifunctional:

Serving as both an office and living area;

Transparent:

Equipped with a private bathroom, office, and storage space, the layout is well-organized;

Customized Solar System:

Utilizing Congo's high sunshine conditions, a combination of solar power generation and battery storage ensures year-round power supply to the command center;

Highly efficient insulation and noise reduction:

Adapted to the unique climate of the mine, enhancing indoor comfort and work efficiency.

The client exclaimed, "The expansion box office is even better than the headquarters!"

Solar Power Package: The Perfect Energy Solution for Power Outages

Mining areas in the Congo often face the challenge of unstable power supply. UVO customized a standalone solar system for this project, effectively supporting air conditioning, lighting, and equipment operation:

Strong sunlight → Daytime power generation and operation

Rainy days → Battery storage for extended use

Energy savings of approximately $500 per day, saving the entire system investment over three years.

This is another key highlight of the UVO prefab container house system: the energy solution and the housing are integrated into the system, eliminating any additional construction work!

One-Stop Procurement: Furniture and appliances pre-installed, saving 40% in costs

This client selected a complete package, including:

dormitory furniture such as folding beds and lockers;

Electrical systems such as energy-saving air conditioners and explosion-proof lighting;

Interior design perfectly matched to the housing structure;

All equipment pre-installed at the factory, ready for use upon arrival. This eliminates the need to purchase individual equipment locally, avoiding issues like inconsistent quality and inflated prices, and directly reduces the overall camp construction cost by approximately 40%.

Highly Recognized by Customers: 15-Day Completion, Guaranteed Quality, Energy Saving, and Hassle-Free

Customers commented:

"It used to take at least three months to set up a camp, but now it's completed in 15 days—double the efficiency! The solar system has significantly reduced our operating costs, and the comprehensive suite of amenities has also saved us a lot of time."

UVO modular container house, with its fast construction, low energy consumption, adaptability, and ease of management, has become the preferred choice for customers in the Congolese mining area and is gradually being adopted in multiple mining projects across Africa.
