Project Background: Creating a "Weekend Healing Space" for Urban Families

This UVO 20ft expandable container house project in France was delivered to a family working in a French city. They owned a private plot of land in the suburbs and wanted to create a weekend retreat that could escape the city's hustle and bustle while still providing comfort for family getaways. The clients specifically requested: a bright and airy space, strong privacy, easy move-in, excellent insulation, and the fastest possible delivery time to start their weekend getaways. Based on these needs, we customized two identical 20ft expandable container houses for them, perfectly matching their vacation scenarios and usage habits.

The house features an expandable structure, unfolding to achieve a standard 2-bedroom, 1-kitchen, 1-bathroom living layout:

Floor-to-ceiling Glass Design on the Left: The living room area features a full-length glass curtain wall, maximizing natural light and making the interior space bright and airy, while also expanding the visual sense of extension. Even in a small apartment, it offers a spacious living experience, allowing you to enjoy the comfort of sunshine at home on weekends.

Right-side metal carved panel sealing design: The bedroom area features a windowless metal carved panel exterior wall, ensuring maximum privacy while enhancing wall sealing performance, isolating external noise and disturbances, creating a quiet and comfortable resting space, and meeting the family's need for privacy.

3. Humanized details: Barrier-free design enhances living comfort for all ages

Bathroom floor flush design: The bathroom area features a flush floor design with no height difference or threshold, eliminating the threshold barrier of traditional bathrooms. This makes it safer for the elderly and children to enter and exit, while also facilitating cleaning and creating a barrier-free bathroom space.

Bedroom threshold-free door design: The bedroom door also features a threshold-free design, ensuring smooth and unobstructed access, further enhancing the convenience of movement throughout the house, making every detail designed for everyday comfort.

4. Upgraded Insulation System: Adapted to European Climate, Comfortable Living All Year Round

In response to the temperate maritime climate of France, we have upgraded the house with a high-end customized insulation system. It adopts a triple protection of thickened high-density insulation layer + thermally broken aluminum double-glazed doors and windows + whole-house sealing technology, which effectively isolates the conduction of cold and heat from the outside, keeping the house warm and locking in heat in winter and cooling it down in summer.
