Located in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, this project was invested and constructed by the client for local homestay rental operations. The client purchased two 20ft expandable container houses, each with a two-bedroom, one-kitchen, and one-bathroom layout to meet the needs of short-term travelers and families.

The exterior walls feature custom-made metal veneer panels, complemented by dark frames and aluminum alloy doors and windows, creating a modern and minimalist appearance with a warm African ambiance. The interior space is bright and clean, with insulated sandwich panels for the walls and ceilings, wood-look flooring, and furniture selected by the client—such as a television and sofa—to create a comfortable homestay atmosphere.

Can the client's concerns meet the needs of the guesthouse?

In the initial stages of the project, the client had the following main concerns:

Space comfort: Could a 20ft container house accommodate a layout of two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom?

Insulation and soundproofing: Given the significant temperature difference between day and night in the area, the client was concerned about the insulation and privacy of the metal structure.

Unified overall style: The client hoped the guesthouse would not only be practical but also attractive to travelers in terms of exterior and interior design.

Purchasing convenience: The client wanted a one-stop shop for purchasing the house and furniture, reducing the complexities of overseas procurement.

• Modular Layout Optimization: Based on the client's guesthouse operation needs, we customized a compact yet fully functional "two bedrooms, one kitchen, one bathroom" layout, ensuring comfortable living while maximizing space utilization.
• Enhanced Insulation and Soundproofing: High-density polyurethane insulation boards are used for the interior walls, and PVC wood-grain flooring is added to the floor, effectively improving indoor comfort and sound insulation, ensuring stable room temperature regardless of whether it's hot during the day or cool at night.

• Customized Exterior and Detailed Design: The exterior walls feature metal carved panels with a warm and textured tone, complementing the local natural environment. Aluminum alloy doors and windows offer excellent sealing and light transmission, making the space brighter and more modern.
• Integrated Furniture and Equipment Procurement: To meet the client's guesthouse atmosphere requirements, the UVO team assisted in procuring matching furniture, such as televisions, sofas, and beds, achieving "one-stop delivery." Construction Process: Rapid Assembly and On-Site Testing

After the house arrived in Nairobi, the UVO team remotely guided the client through the installation process. The entire construction process was divided into the following stages:

• Foundation Preparation: The client completed the leveling and reinforcement of the foundation in advance to ensure a flat and stable ground.
• Main Structure Deployment and Frame Fixing: After the modular house was transported to the site, the construction team used mechanical equipment to assist in deploying the house body and fixing the steel structure frame. The entire process took only a few hours.

• Wall and Roof Installation: The walls and roof used a standardized interlocking system for precise splicing. After installation, a sealing process was performed to ensure waterproof and windproof performance.
• Doors, Windows, and Interior Arrangement: Custom-made aluminum alloy doors and windows were installed, followed by testing of the interior flooring, lighting fixtures, and electrical control systems to ensure safety and comfort.

• Furniture and Soft Furnishings Delivery: UVO assisted the client in simultaneously purchasing furniture. Items such as televisions, sofas, and beds were delivered and arranged on-site after the house was assembled, completing the process in one go.

Customer feedback indicates that the entire installation cycle was controlled within 3-5 days, achieving true "ready to move in immediately after installation," allowing the homestay to be put into operation immediately upon completion.

Final Results

Two 20ft modular bed and breakfast units were successfully installed. The overall appearance is modern, while the interior is comfortable and cozy, combining functionality and aesthetics.
